Congratulations Angelina!
We are proud of A Team consultant, Angelina Simmonds, and her recent recognition, as she received the 2025 Alumni Community Service Award from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in October.
Angelina completed her degree in Women and Gender Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University in 2022, fueling her commitment to addressing intersectional challenges facing racialized women and girls.
Since then, she has launched Black Girls Pillow Talk (BGPT), which creates nurturing and encouraging spaces for young Black girls to share their lived experiences, encourage the healing of intergenerational trauma, experience joy, and thrive together. By blending self-care with community care through activities that can include physical movement, hair care, mentorship, confidence building, and knowledge sharing, Angelina sees a future where Black women know they belong and have the tools, knowledge and relationships to thrive.
